Third Grade New Year Project: Where Fairy Tales Come to Life

In the weeks leading up to the New Year, the Georgian-American School was filled with festive atmosphere, joyful excitement, and creative energy as students prepared for the holiday season.

We're delighted to share the story of the third graders' New Year project, which beautifully showcased students' creativity and imagination. As part of the project, children learned about story structure and character development, worked collaboratively in groups, and created their own original fairy tales.

Art teacher Natia Giorgadze and music teacher Nino Gorkhelashvili made significant contributions to the project's success. Through this collaborative effort, students brought their stories to life through fairy tale dioramas and 3D books. The tales were digitized and narrated by the students themselves, adding a personal touch to each creation.

The project culminated in a special presentation where students performed their fairy tales for an audience of proud parents. Young performers danced, sang, and demonstrated confident acting skills paired with sincere emotion.

This integrated project fostered the development of creative thinking, teamwork, and writing skills while celebrating the magic of storytelling.

Teachers: Diana Kakhetelidze, Maradi Chokheli, Ketevan Bitsadze
