Project: "Today I Am a Museum Guide"

Students Serve as Museum Guides at the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum

9th-grade students from the Georgian-American School recently stepped into the role of museum guides for a day at the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum. They led tours for their peers and other visitors, sharing insights into the life and work of one of Georgia's most celebrated writers and exploring the historic house where Chavchavadze spent significant years of his life.

In preparation for this special project, students worked closely with their Georgian language teacher, Tinatin Janelidze, and the museum staff. Serving as guides in the house-museum of Georgia's greatest writer and presenting key moments from his life to visitors was both an honor and a meaningful responsibility for the students.

The project proved highly engaging and provided valuable hands-on experience in public speaking, cultural education, and literary interpretation. The day concluded with a reflection session in the museum's conference hall, attended by museum staff and Ms. Janelidze.

Tinatin Janelidze, Georgian Language and Literature teacher at the Georgian-American School, and her 9th-grade students in the American Diploma Program extend their sincere gratitude to the Tbilisi Museum Association and the entire staff of the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum for their generous support and collaboration.
