 Parental Involvement in School Life

In celebration of World Day of Social Justice on February 20, the Georgian-American School hosted an engaging and thought-provoking lesson for 4th-grade students.

Tolerance vs. Justice - what sets these two concepts apart?  This question took center stage in a lively discussion led by Mariam Maisuradze, a parent of one of the students and Project Manager at the Educational and Research Center of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA).

Through interactive conversations and real-life examples, students came to understand that tolerance is something we practice every day - listening to one another, offering support, and embracing our differences - while justice is about equality and shared responsibility, ensuring that everyone plays by the same rules.

The lesson was led by teacher Ekaterine Makaridze.

Gatherings like these strengthen the partnership between school and family, helping students build the strong values they need to thrive — both inside the classroom and beyond.
