The Georgian-American School's three-day Model United Nations simulation has come to a successful close. Delegates from the Georgian-American School and the Georgian-American High School took part, with experienced returning students stepping up as group leaders.
The three days each had a clear purpose.
Day One was spent on committee assignments, researching agenda topics, and building out country positions.
Day Two brought the energy of a live debate, with delegates working through discussions and drafting resolutions.
Day Three brought it all together - resolutions were formally presented, put to a vote, and adopted.
In March, delegates from both schools will head to New York to participate in the NHSMUN international conference. Everything they practiced here will help them show up with confidence on the world stage.
A heartfelt thank you to the Student Council and the GAS UN Club for their active involvement, and to guest Luka Kokaia, who took on the role of Secretary-General and made the whole experience feel truly official. Thank you as well to all the teachers who supported and inspired the delegates throughout.
