Maslenitsa Celebration | Grade 5
- Feb 22
- 1 min read
Pancakes, playful rhymes, cheerful spirits, and the first hints of spring - fifth-grade students at the Georgian-American School had a wonderful time celebrating Maslenitsa Week as part of their Russian language curriculum, organized by teacher Ekaterine Chuchulashvili.
Known in Slavic culture as the equivalent of "Cheese Week," Maslenitsa was brought to life through songs, verses, games, and short performances - all wrapped in a warm, festive atmosphere that felt like spring had already arrived.
And of course, no true celebration is complete without food - the day ended sweetly with pancakes and treats.
A big thank you to the parents for their support in making it all happen!
