Students from the 10th grade at the Georgian-American School (GAS) delivered an outstanding performance at the final round of the German Mathematics Olympiad, held on April 28th in Frankfurt.

The competition drew over 2,000 participants from 140 countries across its initial stages. The Frankfurt final brought together more than 300 of the strongest competitors, representing 48 nations — and our students stood among the very best.

Georgia returned home with 1 Gold and 2 Bronze medals.

Natalia Subeliani (10th Grade) earned a Gold Medal and a €1,200 grant for her first-place finish in the online round, before going on to claim a Bronze Medal in the highly competitive Frankfurt final.

Elene Omiadze (10th Grade) won a Bronze Medal in the final round of the Olympiad.

Double Success at Hi Lingua

Alongside the mathematics competition, both students represented GAS at the Hi Lingua International Language Competition, also held in Frankfurt. Elene was awarded a Silver Medal, while Natalia earned a Bronze.

Team Mentor and Mathematics Teacher: Tamar Tsereteli

We congratulate Natalia, Elene, and their mentor on this exceptional achievement. International Olympiads and competitions are a core part of the GAS academic experience, providing students with the global exposure and challenge they need to grow.
