First Graders Bring Chess to Life with Creative Role-Play Activity

First-grade students at the Georgian-American School concluded their chess lessons for the semester with a special and memorable activity that combined learning with creative play.

Students reviewed the rules and movement patterns of chess pieces, then each child selected their favorite piece and dressed in a matching costume. They then brought their chosen roles to life on a large-scale chessboard, physically demonstrating how each piece moves across the board.

The activity successfully blended education, creativity, and fun, proving that learning through play makes complex concepts more engaging and memorable.
