The EU Contest for Young Scientists (EU Contest for Young Scientists), initiated by the European Commission, was set up to promote  For collaboration and exchange of ideals between young scientists.

The EU developed the idea of a competition for young scientists back in 1989, with the aim of encouraging young people to get involved in science and help them choose a research career. Every year, young researchers gather across Europe and beyond to present their work and compete with each other for the highest prize.
